Barack Obama linked to a full-fledged socialist? Are these the rantings of some right-wing, Obama bashing extremist. Sorry Obama-girl, but it’s true. President-elect Barack Obama has chosen the socialist Carol Brown as Global Warming Czar. This indication of future direction should surprise no one considering Obama’s promises to the American people.

He has promised to to fix healthcare (bureaucrat-care ), to share the wealth (seized from those who earned it), to expand union shops (interject more government into the workplace), to increase alternative fuels (mandate inefficiency and expense in the market ), ad nauseum. Out of everything he has said the most dangerous threat to freedom from President-elect Obama is his dedication to Global Warming hysteria.

At one time socialism was seen as the future of mankind. For decades it seemed the Marxist utopia would be realized. Until the late-eighties it appeared the Soviet Union would surpass the west and socialism would engulf the world. The world of capitalism and the bottom line would be replaced with distribution “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”.

In the late eighties the lie of the socialist Xanadu was exposed until even the most ardent supporter could no longer pretend. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the marginalization of Cuba and North Korea and the problems of Red China, it appeared socialism was bound for the trash heap of bad ideas, once and for all. With a little luck and bit of time socialism would be listed among feudalism, slavery and serfdom as failed economic systems.

Instead of going away, socialist went underground, joining a new cause with new puppets to manipulate. In the eco-movement, socialism could clandestinely work toward the same ends: destruction of national sovereignty, redistribution of wealth and autocratic leadership. Instead of saving workers from exploitation, they claim to save everyone from themselves. Suddenly everyone, not just the lower classes, became a potential socialist—repackaged and re-branded as Green. Socialism no longer demands a bullet in the head for the wealthy and blood running in the streets; it is warm and fuzzy with cute little Pandas and Polar Bears. The hammer and sickle has been laid aside for Earth First, WWF and PETA bumper stickers on Beamers and Volvos. The abolition of private property is no longer popular so the socialist of today lets you keep your property, at least for now. So long as you obey a myriad of regulations you are free to make a living. Taxation will rob you of a sizable portion of everything you make for the good of the people, but that’s a small price for clean air and water.

In the selection of Carol Browner, Barack Obama demonstrates his tolerance of socialism, if not tacit agreement. Socialism is a failed system and no matter how it’s repackaged the result will always be tyranny and poverty for all. We have been given an example of the changes awaiting us in the upcoming Obama administration. Get ready Comrades. If Obama and his Hip-pocket Congress have their way you’ll be managed by bureaucrats from the cradle to the grave.

With enough outcry Obama will pick another Global Warming Czar, but wouldn’t it be better off to close bogus office? Where is the Loch Ness Czar or Sasquatch Czar? Finding Bigfoot and the Abominable Snowman should be a priority; with all that hair I’m sure global warming will effect them. The increased heat could also impact leprechauns—if rainbows get less common where will they hide their pots of gold? Come on folks, it’s time to lay aside fairy tales—like the worker’s paradise; and, it’s twisted half-brother, man-made Global Warming.
